    NetFront 3.2 Problems

Anyone else try NetFront 3.2 yet? It installs fine but when I try to run it, I just get an endless hourglass (the spinning circle). Any suggestions? (I did uninstall 3.1 before installing 3.2)

    Thanks.

A lot of my programs just give an endless hourglass ( such as, Planmaker and Textmaker). If I soft reset, then they work fine. Did you try this?

With VC installed they won't even work after a soft reset. I had to uninstall it.

I did try soft resetting - which I do about 5 times a day anyway.
mwfielder, did you just give up and uninstall it?

I am going to ask for a refund. The trial worked perfectly. The paid version will not load? I wrote to Access. But will soon ask PGear for a refund. It does not work.

I just asked Pocket Gear for a refund. They replied that they have to contact the Manufacturer first.
Why would a Trial work and not the actual program?

What? They should just refund you...

NF worked once in a while for me, but mostly it didn't. I'm sure it had some issue with sharing memory, dlls, or something techy like that...

    possible fix

I got the hourglass too when I ran the shortcut from the program menu, but when I ran the executable directly from the netfront directory using file explorer...it worked! still working...

Try it...might work for you too...

kinda works for me. I ended up going into the registry and deleting all of the old registry keys.

But I can't get the Java stuff to work. Applets that loaded fine with 3.1 don't load with 3.2

It is working for me. If I get the hang I just soft reset and all is well. It's a great browser.

Trial of 3.2 worked great for me, full doesn't. I submitted for a refund with Handango. There is a large difference between the file sizes of the trial(2.7mb) and full version(4.9mb). I'm guessing the extra size is the java stuff. I'm just going to use the trial version for now and hopefully Netfront will fix it.

I am still going around with PocketGear on this. I received a letter from Netfront stating that it doesn't work with PocketPlus. I am unwilling to uninstall PocketPlus for one program.
If they do not refund, I will bring the matter up with my bank, and refuse to pay. I will also stop dealing with PocketGear, who I've bought quite a few programs from.

Just got word from PocketGear, my refund was approved!!! They said to remove it from my phone and computer.
    No problem with that!

I'm going through the rounds with Netfront and Handango right now. The last communication Netfront wanted to know if I have SPB pocket plus installed. I told them I do not so apparently it's more than just that program. Would be nice if they made a full version that was like the trial version which actually works...lol

I have confirmed that this program is a serious resource hog. If you go to settings and disable VC and uncheck all Spb PP items, soft re-boot, Netfront works like a champ. Once you load Netfront once, you can go back into settings and re-check your Spb PP items, but you cannot re-enable VC. If you do you will need to go back to step 1 in order to reload netfront.

    Nice POS program!!!!

Thunderhawk gives me none of these problems. I am not getting rid of the programs I like for one browser.
