Lightbulb Beaming contacts to a Palm device?

    Hello,

I used to use a Palm device. The other day I wanted to beam a contact from my PPC6600. I have no idea if it is possible between a palm and a pocket pc device. If it isn't natively possible is there add on software to make them compatable or is it an IR frequency thing?

    Thanks

PS - I tried it between my phone and a Palm Vx with no luck.

    1. Just select the contact.
    2. Hold the stylus down.
    3. When the menu appears select "Beam Contact". Beam it.
    4. Buy a dictionary and study English. "compatable" is not a word.
    5. Buy a book on "Accepting responsibility for your failings, and not whining about how your illiteracy is someone else's problem or how it's ok to be illiterate on the Internet" and read it.

    Cheers.

That works great between two PocketPC devices but not between a PocketPC and some (if not all) Palm devices.

You're right, no need to sink to his level.

Has anyone succesfully done it? If so, what model Palm was it?

I have sent data over IR to a palm treo 600 and 650 on Sprint. I think I have sent contacts but am unsure. If you have a 650 you could also try sending over bluetooth.

I've sent data to palm devices, treos, and nokia phones.

p.s. Never apologize for anyone else's behavior, because that's the sin of hubris.

Illiteracy is rampant and I'm doing my part to stamp it out --- in adults, not children.
