    Dial a name

I had the smartphone from Verizon and loved the way you could spell names and narrow down your contact list by typing the beginning of numbers. Is there an integrated application that will do this well? There were suggestions in the past that I tried and they just werent quite there yet...

Ehud has a cab file on his site that does what you're looking for. I believe it is called idial. Backup before you install it though because you can't remove it. Also, it doesnt work right with the slide out keypad. you have to use the on-screen number pad

Just downloaded it. Works pretty cool. Not sure I want it to replace my "Contacts" button though...

    Talking Finger Clix Works Great

    Hey mwfielder,

    Thanks for that hotlink.

I was using a Samsung i600 and got used to this feature.

Getting through to the contacts and especially the correct number to dial was just about impossible one-handed on the XV6600.

This app works great! I believe I will be purchase it.

Has anyone heard of any skins for it?

    Thanks again.

Try soft resetting and re-run the install. Did it say what type of processor it detected? Mine said it found strongArm (which is what it is) and installed.
