    How to see additional Verizon Configuation info on your Verizon XV6600

    I found about this working with Verizon's WDSC Support (high escalation for Data issues):

    On your XV6600:

    1> select phone function

    2>Dial: ##778

    3>for unlock code, use: 000000 (6 zeros)

    Interesting info and configuation data.

    I found out that my phone was not "NEW". My "Life Timer" stated I had over 1700 calls and over 2100 minutes. I have had the unit for 5 days...... interesting......


    MY Story: EVDO was working near flawlessly (EV and 1x) for 5 days.. then the connection problems began. I can connect when the phone is in 1x mode but not EV (EVDO) Mode. Apparently, when connecting in EV mode, my PPC is connecting using Simple IP.. you need to connect with Mobile IP (which it is doing in 1x mode).

    After 2 days with Verizon support (WDS Global and Verizon Internal WDSC) it appears there is a problem with my device. I will be going to the local Verizon Store for further testing with another unit and/or swap.

    I will be checking the "Life Timer" on the new unit though..

    This site has been most useful... I hope this info is useful..

    Also, when my connection problem began, I was using WModem with my Laptop (as a USB modem) and had over 520mb of data used....
