    Keyboard Light

Are there any settings/registry hacks, etc. that will turn the keyboard on automatically as it is slid out/screen slid up? It is annoying to have to hit a button in the dark to turn the light on to find out which key you want to start typing with.

    Thanks.

There is no switch to indicate you've slid the keyboard down. So, technically, it's not possible.

Darn. Well, I'd even be willing to tie it to a screen tap so the keyboard would come on whenever the screen is on....

Hmmm ... okay. Why go through the trouble of a screen tap, just press any of the keys on the slide down keyboard. The light automatically comes on and also turns on the device screen. Try the space bar, it's larger and bottom center.

Or hit the lower left button three times. One time - function. Two times - lock. Three times - nothing.

I agree that a screen tap would be a big improvement. Surely someone here has the knowhow to do this.

Well... I like to be grammatically sound when text messaging and, when driving, if I don't get the correct key the first time, I have to delete and then shift to get my capital letter back. It would just be easier to have the light come on some way without pressing a button.
