AOL for WinCE & Pocket PC, 2.0 WinCE/Pockect PC

Not sure if it works with the XV6600 yet but I believe this version is ment for AOL subscribers only.

I never had any luck with the handango AOL stuff. This was posted on pcsintel.com a while back. It is AOL messenger that used to be free, they pulled it when they released the handango software.

It is the .cab file. Just put it on the PPC and run it.

get a cab reader such as cabinstl. it will run the cab file for you and place it where you want it to. search for it here on this site or google...

im using agile and its a great solution as well...

I've been using the AIM for PPC (free) for a year plus now. It's great.

    How do you run it?

    - Unzip that file and you will end up with a .cab file.
    - Place the .cab file on the PDA
    - Click the .cab file on the PDA and it will install itself.
    - Click the start button and go to programs. Run AIM

That is all there is to it.

I used AIM for PPC and recently converted over to Agile Messenger. I like Agiles use of tabs for each conversation.

Which program on the Agile Messenger page do you use. I tried the pocket PC one and it said it was installing on my phone but never did and hung up.

The problem with both the (free) AOL client and Agile is that you cannot see buddies on other mobile devices.

That's really freakin' weird... I only have 1 buddy on mobile and he has the 6600 as well... He's using agile and I cannot see him when I use either Agile or Aim 2.0 (free UK version). I couldn't see him when he was on his 650 either.

Sounds improbable, but it's true. He's off in Africa right now... his 6600 is docked at my apartment with Agile running and he is signed in. I open up Agile or AIM 2.0 and he is not on my online buddy list. But if I sign on AIM on my PC, there he is with the little mobile icon.

    Way confused.

It's the same deal with Agile or AIM 2.0.
