aluminum vs magnesium innopocket case, which is stronger?

Ok, the magnesium case is 20x stronger than ABS plastic, but is it stronger than the Aluminum case? How much stronger? I ask because the mag is heavier and larger than the aluminum, and if it's only 10% stronger, then it's not worth the bulk and extra $10.

    The magnesium case is:
    135 x 77 x 30 mm
    100 g

    The aluminum case is
    134 x 76 x 26 mm
    67g

    The mag is larger by 1 x 1 x 4 and 33g more.

I have both. I'd say that the Mag case is better, stronger, more resistant to scratches (at least the ones I have).

The mag case scratches very easy in a couple of months it looks like its been hit with an I.E.D. Don’t waste your money on that junk.
But it is the best protection out there if you can stand the slight increase in thickness.

I would strongly disagree. I think that was the case with the early batches, but mine is 6+ months old and looks just about perfect. (although for sale cause I got a different phone)

BTW, you might try checking out what FieldTrial reports as lower decibel reception with either case...

The aluminum case lost me 75% of the signal!

I agree. The FieldTrial screen is really an eye-opener. I have an aluminum case, but I only use it when I am placing my phone in peril and/or want it along for PDA rather than phone functions. (Gym, hardware store, airline travel, etc.)

I have not tried a magnesium case.

I didn't do extensive testing, but I found in use, if I was in a poor signal area, removing the phone from the case helped sometimes however not significantly.

Seemed to be less impact with the mag case because I don't remember ever having to remove it to get a signal.

The protection from breakage and from accidental key presses made it definately worth wile for me.

I'll buy one for my 6700 the moment they become available.
