    Unhappy wm output???

I got an adapter cable off ebay today and plugged in. Works great, although the sounds isnt' the best??? Is there a function on wm9 or any of the other versions that are in roms 2.03/04 which allow the eq functions to make the output sound better? I find it sounds tinny. Anyone??? I want to use it as my mp3 player both in my car and regularly. Thanks Sean

Just to check on the obvious stuff, but you ensured that the adapter is correct? It is a proprietary adapater. PPC Techs has one that everyone raves about.

One way to check to see if its the player or the jack is plug in the headphones that came with the 6600. If it sounds tinny there, then you may have to play with settings. If it sounds OK you might not be getting all the audio. Try switching left/right channels and make sure you hear sound out of both speakers.

I have everything set fine and hear of course out of both adapters with the correct adapter I bought off ebay. I just really want to be able to adjust the eq settings like you can on the laptop mainly and I think everything would be ok

If you believe that an EQ will help try out gsplayer and see. I couldn't find an EQ on WMP.

If you're really into playing with EQ settings, try the 40th Floor iPlay Client. You can mess with the EQ, Reverb, Cross-Fade, Gain, and a bunch of stuff that can get you into trouble. It won't handle WMA files, but it's great with MP3s and it handles m4a (iTunes) files.
