    Sony Ericson BT headsets?

    Hello,

I figure this is one of the more matured groups I could ask. I'm looking at getting SE HBH-610. I need something with plenty of volume since my car doesn't have great sound proofing and the highways are grooved here.

I'm curious what peoples experience are with the Sony Ericson headsets in general. I know the BT stack on my 6600 sucked until I replaced it with the 3900 stack so if you can't get any headset to sound good I understand you won't have great things to say about the SE in general.

    My big concerns
Clarity for my callers - I don't want them to say that I'm hard to understand or like I'm in a tin can or echoing

Loudness and clarity for myself. I need to be able to hear them in server rooms and in my car.

    Thanks!

I had the HBH 660 and I am not getting the 662 since the 660 went into the washer driver, with the 3500 stack I have had no problems, it is very clear on both ends and you can use it outside, and they can still use you.

I'm assuming all SE phones will fall in line with that

I use the HBH-662, and LOVE IT!!!, It seems to be the best for my phone (XV6600) all around. The volume is not as loud as the Jabra 250v (but that ear peice goes right in your ear canal), and the caller ID works great. I wish it also had vibrate (like the Jabra BT800), but it always answers right away, and even seems to have better range than others I tested.

You may be right there. I don't even know if I have VC with my xv6600. If so, I sure don't know how to use it. Maybe its time to find the manual.

    HBH-600

I have been using the HBH-600 and it is the first BT headset that is acceptable as far as volume goes. I actually just ordered an HBH-662 (ebay) for the caller ID feature.

Thanks - if anyone here actually tries and HBH-610 or sees a real review (not a feature list) of the HBH-610 please post it here. I've got it narrowed down the the HBH-610 and Logitech Traveller. Specs are interesting on the 610 but the Traveller actually gets a great review!

I don't think the 662 will actually show you the name, only the number, as I have the 662 now and its only showing numbers...

Some people get names to show and some only get numbers. There is a thread on this you may want to read - no solution just a comment on that so you don't feel alone.

ICOhen999 - I'm not sure if I can post their forum but if you do a search through a website with forums by howard, you will find a few posts on the 662.

http://www.howardforums.com - if you use the search field for 662 - you'll find quite a few - I've also seen it in the i730 (I can't remember if it was in the 6700) and a few other places here.

Perhaps you can find some reviews of the HBH-610 please post back

    Thanks

OK - if anyone is interested - this is the ONLY thing I could find on the HBH-610 that wasn't from the prop sheet.

    HBH 662 and voicecommand

    Hello,

I recently purchased the HBH-662 BT headset. It was working fine but now after I installed MS VC on my 6600 the headset it not responding.

I am using the device to call but even still, I am getting no connection via the BT. Am I missing something here?

    Please reply....thanks

    Oh,

one other thing. for those using the HBH 660 or 662....what sort of voice quality do you get on your end. I seem to be picking up a slight bit of static....nothing that disturbs conversation but enough to concern me about the new product I purchased....

please reply.....by the way, I got the BT working but I had to disable the VC, any suggestions on how to get both working together...

    Thanks

Actually, if you didn't purchase Microsoft Voice Command ($39.00ish), then you don't have it. It didn't come with the device. It is an add-on.

Seems like almost everyone DOES have it eventually though, including me!

    Thanks for the reply.

Actually, I have purchased it.....I should mention that I got both to work, thanks to the suggestions on other threads.

My only question now is....do you have interference with your BT (HBH660 or 662). I know it is not going to be perfect but I was hoping the quality on my end would be a bit more clear......

    Please comment...thanks
