    Adobe Acrobat

I was reading that some of you have been able to get Acrobat working by using Version 1.0. Does anyone know where I can find this or if there is another work-around to get Acrobat working on the 6600? I have downloaded ClearVue PDF reader, but it has problems on many of my files I am trying to read.

I tried this version and it did not work. It states that I am missing a critical component or just locks up the PDA. Any other suggestions?

Wow. I've been using the 1.0 reader for a while and just tried the 2.0. It is worthless!
Going back to 1.0 as soon as I can find it.

    Thumbs up

    And work nicely it does.
    Thank you.
For some reason, 2.0 would either lock up my PPC or not be able to find any docs.
Just reinstalled 1.0 and it works perfectly.

Acrobat 2.0 works great on my device. I'm not sure what all of you are complaining about. Then again, I don't really put anything else because everything from SPB and Wisbar to Scarybear and PocketNES gives me incentive to soft reset my phone...

These are the only apps that I've found to be stable... since I can not live without Voice Command:

    vBar
    Voice Command 1.5
    Adobe Reader 2.0
    TCPMP
    Resco File Explorer
ScaryBear Check Notifications (only ScaryBear app I like)
    Screen Lock

Without Wisbar, SPB, or pretty much any today plugins other than vBar, my phone works perfectly and I don't ever have to worry about hard or soft resets anymore.

I don't know that anyone was complaining but for me at least, the program just wouldn't work properly.
And the older version does- for me. If 2.0 works for you, congrats.

I for one have never heard of an .fdf file.
A little research tells me that this is an advanced form format used for sharing form data created in an Acrobat form. Adobe also explains that "FDF files are significantly smaller than PDF files because they contain only form field data, not the entire form." So unless you have the original form to fill the data (in the fdf) with, it appears that you won't have anything to open.
Since the reader is just designed to allow viewing of an Acrobat file, I would have to guess that it's not going to work on an older Acrobat Reader for PPC.
Have you been able to open one on your working AAR2.0?

nope. can't open .fdf on AA2.0

I get .fdf files pretty often and they are openable on a Windows box using whatever the latest and greatest is for Acrobat.

Sad... I guess I'll have to keep using the PC.

Adobe 2.0 & Voice Command don't get along

I believe the reason you find Adobe 2.0 worthless might be the fact that it doesn't not get along with the Microsoft Voice Command 1.5 version. It has been well documented that these 2 software versions do not get along and play nice. Using Adobe 1.0 does seem to work although the installation warns that it was designed for Windows CE and might not display properly on WM2003.

Ah. I didn't thoroughly read that documentation.
Silly me. I thought that Adobe & MS worked together to get their stuff compatible.
Since AAR1.0 works fine and I don't feel like switching from MSVC, looks like I'll use it for a while.

If anyone still wants this, I've compressed the 8.6Mb file to a 8.5Mb RAR file.
This server won't take the rar file or something that big, so i can email it to anyone who might be able to post it somewhere.
