    Attaching Files Too Slow

On several apps, including Poutlook, it takes several minutes to attach file. The longest time is the initial "open" dialog where it searches the entire device and SD card for all types of files in all available folders. At that point, there is no problem.

Is there a registry entry which I can modify so that the default search is for a particular file type (e.g. txt, doc, pxl) or a particular directory?

If this is discussed somewhere, I'd appreciate a link cuz I can't find it.

You must have a large SD card with a lot of files on it. Mine does the same thing with my 2GB SD card in it. If I pop the card out, then do the attachment, it is much quicker!

This is an xda-dev question. I'm sure mamaich knows the answer since he recently fiddled with the filesystem cache and write-back and write-ahead stuff.
