    Removing Phoen Number from XV6600

I just purchased a XV6600 off of ebay to use as just a PDA (I don't need it as a phone nor will I be using any of the wireless abilities), but the phone is still active on it. I would like to fully remove the previous owner's number from the system, but a hard reset doesn't seem to do the trick. What must I do to remove this number?

I have found out how to turn the phone off but not how to remove the number. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    BOBBER!!

Normally you have to have the phone reprovisioned with a new number from whom the carrier is to remove it. LOL.... question why did you purchase a PDA Phone and not use the Phone portion of it? You could have gotten some top PDA without the phone on them for very reasonabe pricing at the store and on ebay.

What do you mean "remove the number"?

If the phone portion is off, who cares what number the off-phone is assigned.

Enter the lock 6 digit lock code with ## before and # after it, then in the programming menu you should be able to manually change it to all 0's or something I think...
