Angry D-Pad and Phone Buttons - Permant Map to Contact/Calender

I have recently had an issue where the "D" Pad and Phone buttons activate Contact/Calendar or Pocket Informant (If installed)

I have done a hard reset to try and get around this problem, but it does not seem to fix the issue. Even with NO software loaded the buttons are incorrectly mapped. Has anyone had any similar experiences? If so, are there any recommendations on how to get the Buttons Mapped back to the Phone and Navigation?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

you are not the 1st person that has recently had this issue. If verizon is just sending you a new one then I am guessing that it's a known issue to them.

I've been having that off and on with my spcs 6601. Hard reset doesn't seem to fix, but pulling the battery and letting it sit long enough to hard reet (a minute or so - yikes) fixes it. Hasn't re-occurred in a couple of days (knock on wood), though that reminds me I have to do a sprite backup
