Whoa, here's a weird one for the experts....

I tried to make an outgoing call earlier today, and everytime I call ANY number (except *2), I get a message "Your account is not authorized to makes calls to this phone number. (Message 6924)" My bill is paid, no recent changes, had this phone for 10 months, and this is the first problem beyond the old 'Beep of Death." I talked to tech support and they couldn't help me, and ended up putting a service ticket in.

Any ideas how or why this is happening? Or has this happened to anyone else?

It's definitely a service issue... Sprint's the only one who can help you (scary, isn't it?).

    Good luck

Well, just an FYI, somehow my number had been deleted from my phone, along with my MSID. I literally hadn't touched my phone when this happened (I was asleep), and there was no one else home, so how this happened is beyond me!

Well, technology is wonderful in that way.

I believe it was Asimov or Heinlein that said that any sufficiently advanced technology was indistinguishable from magic.

    Glad it worked out.
