My PPC-6600 and sprint will replaced with the same one :(

My PPC-6600 from sometime now is freezing almost everyday and it master resets itself, i took it to sprint and they order me a replacement for the PPC-6600, the RECEIPT says:

REC6600KT1 REC HTC PPC6600 With Camera Single

    The "REC" is for Reconditioned

I was hopping to get the new PPC-6700 but instead they will send me a Reconditioned PPC-6600.

For I can see the PPC-6600 are not gone.

That's good news to me - I don't want to get the 6700.

Mine IS broken, I just haven't taken the time to ship it off to Audiovox yet. Hopefully they don't screw me and send back the 6700!

At some point they are going to run out of 6600. I wonder if I could pick up an old one in Europe with Quad bands like they use over there, and if wonder if it would work over here on the Sprint bands. If I could find one cheap, I would buy a backup rather than go to a 6700 when they run out.
    Sprint: G1000, HTC-6600, 6800, now TP2
    Windroid: Energy.ROM.28244.Sense2.5/Android 2.1
    Overclocked to 729Mhz

Phones in Europe are GSM - won't work with Sprint, which uses CDMA

after looking at my 6600 and the 6700 side by side in the store, I could not step down to a 6700....the screen size really bothers me. It would not be suitable for navigation.

we'll get EV-DO soon, and wifi is pretty redundant after that. WM5 is a nice to have.
