just ordered my 4 gig sd card...

I just ordered a 4 gig sd card and I am curious if anyone has any experience with an sd card of that size and compatability issues with the xv6600. I have read that some people have had issues with large sd cards and ppcs I currently have 2 1 gig cards and have not had an ounce of trouble but was just wondering if anyone here had any experience with the a-data 150x 4 gig card and a verizon xv6600.

    thanks,

4 gig= space the final frontier.

May I ask where and how much you paid for it?

    Thanks,

I purchased it from newegg for just over $200 shipped. That is awesome news I am really excited about storing everything on one card.

If the price gets down around 150, I will definitely have to buy one. 200 is still a little high for me (more than what I paid for my phone!)

    Exclamation

Just be careful which one you order and from where you order it.
There are a lot of imposters out there selling ultra-cheap "4 GB" cards that are actually knock-offs from China...

    price drop

I just ordered one from a merchant off of dealram for $139.99 with free shipping. I'll let you know how it works out in the 6600.

    Specs:
A-DATA 4G 150X Turbo Secure Digital Memory Card

BTW, as long as TomTom and my phone still works this phone works perfect for me. I can't find anything I need in WM5.

I picked up one last week from Amazon too. $199, but it was a business expense.

It's great having it! I've got 4 DVD's that I converted into DivX on the card, about 4 or 5 albums @ 192Kbps, about 30 ring-tones I made from MP3's, about two dozen random videos, pictures, etc.

Transferring to and from a memory card reader is WAY faster then transferring to the phone through ActiveSync.

sorry guys I have been reformatting and haven't had access to my email for a week. I got the card and it works great. I have used fairuse wizard and have like 6 or 7 full length movies on there plus 200 mp3s, my gps maps of ky and In, and I still have a gig of space left. Space the final frontier..... and I have lots now. No more switching cards for me.

I got one of these for ~$130 off eBay, and so far it works perfectly in my PPC 6600. It would NOT work in my Casio Exilim camera, however.

Well, I finally also got one of these when it hit $79. 6600 reads it but not bu USB 2 card reader..... I wonder if this is a formating problem of a limitation of the reader.

I had to get different card reader myself that is compatable with that large a format. I bought the SanDisk Imagemate 12 in one. Model #SDDR-89 V3.
I works flawlessly! Should be able to get it online fairly cheap now.

Yeah. I went down to Fry's this morning and go a cheepo $7.99 version that they verified would work for me while there. I am in business. I figure I am going to skip the 6700 generation so I hope the next Sprint PDA phone will take these cards, which are the same as what I use in my smaller camera. I understand the 6700 only takes the smaller card with a 2GB max.

And that is exactly why I'm trying to buy another new verizon xv6600. If this one goes I want a back up. I won't switch until something really WOWS me! And nothing has yet!
