    Newbe question on CDMA2000

This may sound stupid, but I just got my vx6600. When I tap on the signal strength, the message box has a line to dial #777 for CDMA2000.

What is this, what is it doing when it dials?
    Thanks
    Bob

Ok, what that is is a data connection. The phone will connect either 1xrtt or ev-do depending if your in an ev-do active location. If you would hit the #777 the phone will dial and connect to verizon national access or national broad band. and will be able to send, recieve email or serf the web.

Just don't use it without being on a data plan of some type. If you use it without a data plan there is like a $15 per meg charge. Also, sorry to tell you, but you can use megs up really fast with a xv6600, I have used up 67megs this week.
