One of my favorite free apps: Pocket TV Listings

One of the applications I hunted around for, including searching the software threads on these boards, was one that would give me TV listings on my PPC.

I finally found Pocket TV Listings, a freeware app from Thumbs Up! Soft. http://ptvl.thumbsupsoft.com/

PTVL lets me keep 2 weeks worth of my local listings on my PPC-6600 and use a very intuitive interface to browse the listings, get details on a program, find out who is in the cast, search for upcoming shows, and even schedule reminders into the calendar.

Listings come from Zap2it, and PTVL comes with a free Zap2it subscription code.

Has anyone tried this software from My Tiny TV @ http://www.mytinytv.com/. It's not free, but you can turn your PPC into a tiny TV. I'm waiting for a TV tuner card to arrive so I can give it a try.

I love it so far. Only drawback is that the subscription appears time-limited, expiring in June. Time will tell if it will allow a free renewal.

it is a free renewal, every 4 months or so. you just have to answer about 5 questions on the website, and you get extended another 4 months or so.

Same should be true with the other program too, since both use zap2it.
I say stick with the free one. Although I would like to update the listings without a computer, which would be ideal.

Handmark has one, but they charge a lot, and you have to pay every year. The program is also really slow. http://www.handmark.com/products/detail.php?id=538

Pocket TV Listings stopped updating for me and I've re-loaded the application several times. Anyone know what has happened or anyone having the same problem?
