Possible fix for bluetooth sleep problem

Anyone having the problem of the bluetooth shutting down on sleep (power off) might want to try this, you will need a registry editor.

Check the following setting, go to

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power

    then look for

DisableGwesPowerOff If that is set to 1 change it to a zero. Than

    softreset.

See if that helps any. It seems to be the answer for my XV6600 anyway

Is this the problem where my device (PPC-6600) turns itself on whenever it connects or loses it's Bluetooth connection with my car?

I think the original poster is talking about losing connection (when the phone backlight is off) and it not re-connecting when it is on. This is what I understood it to mean.

Tried it doesn't work. What he is saying is that when the phone is one bluetooth works fine, but when the phone turns off, the bluetooth shuts down and looses the connection.

After reading the bluetooth headset thread, someone suggests that our phones are bad, so I might go bring mine in.
