    Agile Messenger no longer free...alternatives?

Since Agile has gone to a pay by the month or year plan, does anyone have any alternatives for AIM, Yahoo, etc? Preferably not text messaging based

Here's the last fully functioning free version of Agile Messenger.

When I launched it, it told me there was a new version available. I tapped no to the upgrade, and it worked fine. So, if you don't mind tapping no to the upgrade, you're still good.

I don't know if they'll "kill" this version, but if you like it, use it until you lose it.

I was sitting in line to pick up some goodies at Circuit City during Black Friday today and I decided to log into my IM clients. Sure enough, Agile prompted me to upgrade, which I did, then it subsequently informed me that I was now in a trial period. Boy did that put a sour mood on my day.

I will downgrade to the previous version and continue to use it.

Use Agile which I posted above or download AIM for PPC from AOL's UK site here:

There is a trick i figured out with the version of Agile INHUMANITY posted. It seems that if you try to connect with your EVDO already connected but dormant, it asks you to upgrade, with the only choice being to cancel. If you completely disconnect your EVDO before connecting, however, it works flawlessly. Whatever you do, though, dont upgrade.
