    Voice Activated Dialing

Does your typical Voice Activated Dialing software allow you to speak the #'s W/O having a particular # in your phone book? Is there one that you can voice #'s when an automated system asks you to punch them in? i.e. when the automated system asks for your account # at a credit card company.

I'm using a Jabra Free Speak 250 BT headset.

    yes - Microsoft Voice Command

Yes, Microsoft Voice Command will let you do this.

    "call john smith at home"

    and

"dial five five five one two one two"

    both work great.

Good! So once in a call, will it let you voice #'s when an automated system asks you to enter, say, an account #, etc?

How does Microsoft Voice Command compare to other VAD programs?

No, MSVC will not let you enter numbers once in a call for an automated system. As far as I know, no voice recognition programs will do this. It will, however, allow you to dial by number to make a call.

As far as performance, it is bloated and a memory hog but performs well. Make sure you get MSVC 1.5, though, as 1.6 is only for WM5
