    Uninstall PDANet ??

I recently installed PDANet on my i760 and laptop. I connect to my
laptop as ActiveSync 'Guest' and can get online/xfer files easily.

Unfortunately, since then, I've no longer been able to synch Outlook
data with my desktop? It connects, issues an error and leaves me as
guest. Can't sync or xfer files.

I wanted to try to uninstall PdaNet from the phone, but it doesn't
show up at all under "Remove Pgms" ??

I'm no expert here - I'm just in trial with PDAnet myself. However, if you go to your 'start' menu and look at the PDAnet for windows mobile tag it expands with a selection for uninstalling. My guess is that it might take care of uninstall from both the PC and the 760.

Perhaps you can go to the website and get more specific instructions as well.

meanwhile - are you positive it's b/c of PDAnet and not something else?

    Good luck!

ActiveSync's window also provides a "remove sw" dialog, but it doesn't
    list PdaNet ?? There's a disclaimer about non-compliant sw ...

    no luck w/the website

I'm not sure if PdaNet is to blame, but I've been synching using AS 4.5 and
my Outlook 2000 sw since I got the phone last November (despite AS's
insistence it will only work with Outlook XP or later). I've tried everything
else I can think of and the problem start correlates with the day I installed
PDAnet, so regressing seemed like the way to go.

Tried SOFT resets, but not HARD as I've got 100's of contacts on the
phone and don't know if I'll be allowed to download the lost data!

Did you try the "PDANet Uninstall" from the start menu in Windows on your desktop?
