Any way to View your PC Desktop on the i760?

    ***SOLUTION FOUND BELOW***

I have this typing software on my laptop that I use to transcribe for the deaf and hard of hearing at school, kind of like a stenographer. Everything is shorthand, such as: windows = wndws, people = ppl, question = qstn, etc...

Anyway, I was wondering if there is any way I can transmit what I'm typing onto the i760, kind of like what WebCamera Plus does, but the other way around? Or just a way for the i760 to receive what I'm typing from the laptop.

Or what would work well is something that would allow me to open a window from my laptop and view it on the i760 as if I were opening it on an external monitor.

Does anything out there like that exist? Thanks.

    ***SOLUTION***

I have found the PERFECT applications.

Innobec's Sidewindow allows you to use your i760 as an EXTERNAL MONITOR. So I just open my typing software onto that external monitor (i760).

Now, I can't see what I'm typing because my deaf student will have my i760 device with them. Therefore, I also used it in conjunction with mymobile so I can see what's being viewed on the i760.

I'm doing all this via bluetooth connection as well. I didn't think this was possible! Thanks for the help!

That is if I understand you correctly because in your post title you make it sound like you would like to see your pc desktop on the i760 which can be done too.

Thanks. Can you give some info on what exactly mymobile does, and/or if there's a site to find more information on it?

It allows you to see and control your pda from your desktop with your mouse and keyboard. Search google for more info friend. Its not my program and I think it's free so you can probably d/l it off of their site if you are more comfortable with that. I just don't feel like searching for you.

Cool thanks. Mymobile does allow me to type from my laptop onto the i760, but not through my shorthand typing software. But you said "you would like to see your pc desktop on the i760 which can be done too". I don't see an option to do that on mymobile.

No it is a different program all together. To do that you need remote desktop by Microsoft. Not only that but you would need to do it over an internet connection not a direct connection. You can find the file here and for help you can check microsofts www. Make sure you install this in the program memory and not a storage card or it will cause a problem with the keyboard.
