    Samsung's i900 Flagship WM6.1 Phone Due In Sept 2008?

Did a search and found nothing in the forum related so since this is the successor of the i760 (GSM Style). Just wanted everyone to take a gander.

Samsung I900: Samsung's Flagship i900 Windows Mobile Phone Leaked in Color

Too bad it's GSM. Maybe a CDMA might be on the horizon those spec are amazing. What the i760 should have been. Any thoughts?

One of the things I like most about thei760 is the dial-pad on front...this would lose that feature...

Getting timing I'll only replace my i760 if the Tilt get some more spec bumps from the ATT version. What those specs are? I don't know. When I see them I'll buy it then.

    What's the screen's resolution? VGA?

With Rev. A, it might be intersting.

Who uses a touch pad to dial? Doesn't everyone have blue tooth by now?

I really want my next phone to have a glass, non-recessed screen (like iphone, voyager, etc.). Looks like this may have it. I love the dialpad but would gladly trade it for a solid (large) screen.

Much thanks as you just saved me money! I was thinking about going to the Touch since my 6800 is hurting for memory, but I think I'll just hold off for the Tilt now. I'd miss the keyboard and WiFi.

    Let's face it, folks.

If the Samsung i900 comes out in Sept 2008, Verizon won't have it until Dec 2009.

already knew about the Touch, I just assumed that VZW was actually releasing a CDMA version of the Tilt.

In order for Verizon to offer the TILT it has to come in a CDMA version. Unfortunately there is not a CDMA version of this phone so it will not be coming to Verizon!!!

That is why in September when my contract is up, I am going to ATT.... just too many better options in phones in the GSM market.

Ok so the Tilt isn't coming to "Big Red" but with strong Q4 earnings and they just added 2,000,000 new subscribers (including FiOS subscribers) to the "The Network". VZW has to deliver some top quality stuff or they will suffer the same fate Sprint is going through. I can admit VZW business model is solid (so far...) but this has to be the year that the supply & demand has to be stepped up!

So I think the i900 (non-GSM) will be a step in the right direction. Just don't make it the only step. I want to be able to walk into to VZW store or go online and be overwhelmed with choices. Like when I visit the online Apple store.

I can predict it now. 5 years from now the cellular market will welcome customizable features. Just like you customize your new Dell or MBP. Being able to choose if you want GPS, or not, 256MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, etc. Mark these words.

Is this a joke....who cares about options, I perfer going with that which has the better phone. I'm only going to need one phone, not 3. I could care less how many GSM phone are out. If theres a CDMA phone better than them all, then you can be sure I'm staying on Verizon.
