    Playing MP3's

when the phone screen backlight goes off the player will stop at the end of the tune and will not go to the next tune unless the back light is on. I want to continue to play tunes with the screen off to conserve battery but it don't work. What am I doing wrong? BTW, the tunes are on my 2G mini SD card.

im not sure this is it...but i think you have to go into options and check the box that says something like " keep player playing in the background" then it should work...Mine works continuously..screen off.....working other programs....doesnt matter...I have to physically go in and stop the song or go to task manager and shut down WMP to get the song to stop......

can you be a little more specific, how do you get to the options? Mine has settings, no options of " keep player playing in the background"

For everything like that, I use psShutxp util. It puts a icon in the tray if you want continuous access to it. When you press it, it opens up the "shut down" window just like Windows XP when you shut down the system There is a Light Off, Shut Down, Soft Reset option available. just use the LIGHT OFF option, and the ppc operates just like normal, but any screen input or button presses have no effect. you have to press the top power button to resume normal operation.
