    Metal Case?

Don't do it. My phone has fallen out of it's metal case several times. The pins in the hinges fall out, it bends, the belt clip continually unscrews. I'd rather pet a bubonic rat than use it.

You should send them that line for their testimonials page.

Great quote, but are you sure that we're talking about the same case? I could run my phone over with my car and it wouldn't break now that I have that case, which I assure you is impervious to my phone slipping out.

    Seido Rubberized hard Case

I have the Seido Rubberized hard case (both extended and standard backing)

The "ruberized" part keeps your i760 from slipping out of your pocket. And I mean pocket because there's no belt clip. I consider this a plus as belt clips tend to let you walk into doors and walls and smash your phone.

There are two pieces to the case, one for the front and one for the back. Seido really designed this case with specific knowledge of the i760. The parts snap on and won't come off. Plus they even left a space to open the antenna port.

    Um, I like my case.

best of luck with verizon. I always get the insurance.

You might consider My Mobiler to get your data off the phone. It will let you "remote control" the PDA when Sync'd without installing anything on the PPC. Free.

I feel for ya. The same thing happened with my i730, of course my happy ending is that I now have the i760

I also got the insurance, you have to bite the bullet and take the insurance when the phone is new. A year later, they'll be on Ebay for $200, so the replacement cost won't be that bad, so you can consider dropping the insurance, but out of the gate, get the insurance.

Ugh I feel your pain. The EXACT same thing happened to my sch-i760 last week. Sitting in my chair at work, fell out of my jacket pocket, 2.5 foot drop, and I end up with a smashed screen. It took me 2 years to break the screen on my Treo, only 2 months to break the screen on the sch-i760.

    Suck.
