Does the USB 2 Computer cable charge the battery?

Does the USB 2 Computer cable charge the battery? My Q did that. It was nice to use instead of caring a charger around while I travel. When I tried, it didn't give any indication that it was charging.

I looked in the manual and couldn't find any reference.

The cable that comes with the 760 only transfers data.

The desk cradle that you can get from Verizon or Samsung will charge and transfer data.

There are third party cables that will do both. -- However do not use one of the third party cables that do both and the cradle.

Thanks much. I just got the phone 3 days ago and this site has been invaluable.

    Invader Zim,

Welcome to PDAPhoneHome.com. We're glad you're finding the site helpful.

One of the things we ask of members is that, before posting a question, they search the site because, oftentimes, the question already has been asked, and we don't want to have duplicate threads. Also, be sure to check the FAQs, which appear in the header of the forum (red type in yellow banner).

Because your question about the USB cable has been asked before, I'm going to close this thread.
