    looking for larger contact pictures

    Guys (and Gals),

I'm looking for a program that will do one of the 2 following things

    1. display a large (see: larger then the minuscule default size) picture of the person calling

    or

well I guess that covered it in one option.

i have used face contact... not too fond of it

and since I did not use # 2. I 'll reserve the right to add one other thing/ App I'm looking for..
an alarm that is similar to a regular phone... most important to the lazy of us would be a "quick alarm " function that we could set for say 10min, 15 min, 30min, or 1hr...

other then that I find WM6 and the common Apps cover most of What I would have changed on my i730
    thx!

For a long time I thought the default picture size was way too small, then I found out that you want to make all your contact pictures an optimal 77 x 106 and they will display larger (at least large enough for me to easily recognize who's calling without having to put on my reading glasses!). Eliminated my need to find add'l software to do photo caller-id.

You should install PocketCM and set the contact pictures inside that program, then install S2U2. It does the full screen Caller ID w/picture. Both programs can be found at XDA.

Just use your favorite image editor program to resize your pictures to 77 x 106 and they will display larger. I used to just download pics from my laptop that were large 480 x 640 sizes but for some reason the phone displays them really tiny. A great tip I saw on one of the boards a while back.

How does PocketCM work in conjunction with S2U2?

As of now, when i have s2u2 enabled and i get a call, the regular WM6 for incoming call pops up.

I had installed that PocketCM and had no errors on install but when Contacts are selected it's the OEM version.

JASTECH, I had the same problem when i first installed. I simply did a "soft-reset" and it should work when you click on contacts.

However my problem is that when i get a call, it routes to the OEM version. Maybe this is due to the number not being stored as a contact?

MBLOVA, I did a soft reboot before my post but will do it again. Yes, I would think it needs to be in the Contacts data base before it can implement it.

MBLOVA, yes only some pop up. Also what I did was installed PCkeyboard, lol....My Bad! So I installed CM and it's a little buggy for the i760. I have it on my 6700 hemli edition and it works great with a nice brown background so it looks better then Black, White and what ever the rainbow looking one is.

you might have to go through the settings of S2U2, i know you can turn off the caller ID function. Also if you didn't set the picture with Pocket CM, you will still get the small picture. Just remove the picture setting and then re add it in pocketCM. Pocket CM just allows the pictures to be full size, a feature that the standard contact application doesn't. But like said above when you choose contacts from the start menu or other method, the pocketCM app should open. Try uninstalling and reinstalling if it's not working for you correctly. I have had Pocket CM installed for a long time and it doesn't have any problems, not that that means yours doesn't have problems, I believe you

Yeah i figured out my problem. I did not have the latest version of S2U2 installed. I got V1.0 and it works.

A quick question about PocketCM though. When you pick a contact to dial, it reverts to the OEM version of dialing some one... Any thoughts?
