    camcorder resolution

Is there anyway to increase the resolution that the camcorder records at either by using a differnt program or with a registry hack?

    bananaxmeaxe, Welcome to the Forum!

By using the "Search" button on the top right I located this link for you.
    PDAPhoneHome.com - Search Results
You can also see a software for that here.
    PDAPhone.com

We like to encourage all new members to read the FAQ's in Red with the Yellow background. Underneath that are the "Stickies", these will help answer a lot of your questions and help you get more familier with your i760. The "Search" button is on the top right. Thanks, JASTECH

    who is "we"?

I thought about this too. It seems the video is pretty compressed and grainy. I haven't looked for another program but I am sure there has to be something that can be done.

I have yet to find anything; I'm thinking it's a limitation of the hardware camera itself. The CoolCamera software didn't give me any improvements in better resolution on my i760. JasTech - have you TRIED using the software you recommended on your own i760 and did you experience any improvements? I'm not as interested in a quick search result that may or may not be applicable to my i760 as I am in a real user's experience trying out a new piece of software.

DBlocker, I posted what I had located on this Forum and a direct link to the website. I didn't say anything about "I Recommend this" as is done on many threads in this forum and others. The hardware can't handle too much higher resolution but some like it and some don't. I do have it installed on my i760 but with a 1.3 MP camera you can't do much better then a 3x3 when the grain gets to much. I added the links for the starter of this thread bananaxmeaxe. The i760 is Cell Phone first and a camera/video very last. Thanks, JASTECH

You're talking about resolutions better than "fine", correct?

You do know that there are (3) resolution options built into the camcorder OS:

Video Quality: Fine, Normal, or Economy.

For some reason Jastech's Search link leads to a search page with no results for me.

This is the link to the actual answer, for posterity's sake:

How to get the most out of the camcorder

Basically the MMS limit answer, like the previous poster, just a little more detailed for those for whom that didn't make much sense.

That was weird, I read a few of them then copy/paste link to my post. The second link went to Web Camera Plus.
