how do i text with regular number pad?

when i text, usually i use the qwerty keypad,
but sometimes i get really lazy to even open it up...
and when i try to text with my regular 12button,
only the number comes out, not letters...
anyone know how to text with number pad?

That's odd. I get letters first. There is no T9 for our phone right now, but you can text using multitap. When I try to type a text using the dialpad, if I press "2" it shows an "a", if I press "22" it shows a "b". If I press "7778866," it spells "run." The fourth tap shows the number (except for 7). However, if you hold down the number key for a second, it displays the number.

If yours is working differently, something is wrong. But I doubt you will find much help today as most are focused on the Windows Mobile 6.1 release.

Try a Search and see what comes up or FAQ's and Sticky's. Once the 6.1 has slowed down things will get back to (something) lol

Wink How long ya holding that key?

    david,
if you tap and release the number key, you should be getting the letters, just like JDCJ said. On the other hand, if you hold the number key a little longer, the number comes up first. Try it a little more quickly, and see what happens!
