looks good, but as we all know, just because it works with most WM6 devices doesnt mean it will work with the i760... anyone tried it yet?

I tried a 16 Gb Sandisk MicroSDHC. I see 16 Gb in the spb utility, was able to copy about 7 Gb of data to it, and played some files. It seems to work fine.

I got one for a bit more than $50 off Amazon and loaded it with MP3s. No problems (yet, anyway!).

I'm guessing you got this one? :
Amazon.com: SanDisk 16GB microSDHC Card (SDSDQ-016G, Bulk Package): Electronics

I was looking at that too until i saw some negative reviews saying it was too slow (it's class 2, which is 2mb/s, instead of class 4 or 6 which are 4mb or 6mb/s). Now that i think about it, 2mb/s is more than fast enough, esp for mp3's.
    Have you noticed any slowness?

The problem isn't necessarily that it isn't fast enough to read mp3's off of, its that 16000mb / 2mb/sec * 60sec is 133min (2 hrs, 13min) to fill the card with mp3's in the first place.

yeah, but thats to be expected with any removable media really.. and is acceptable as long as its decently fast for every day use.

Yes, that is the one. Its speed has been fine and I had not even considered the speed issue until your brought it up. It did take WMP about 20 minutes to load 1600+ songs into its database, but I figured that was because there were a lot of songs, not because the card was slow. It plays them without any issues or noticable lags.

The one issue is the well-known disappearing SD card, which alas happens with this card as well as with everyone other one I have ever used with the i760. I just pop it out and put it back in and the card is back.

I am very happy with the card!

    David
