Voice Command, Do I need it running always?

I never use voice commands. Voicecmd.exe starts with Winmo and takes up almost 4MB of memory. Is it safe to just delete the link in my startup folder or can this cause other problems?

While we're on the subject I've been meaning to ask a VC question.

I use a bluetooth headset (see left) and in the VC settings I have it set to "Announce notifications using Bluetooth hands free only" and I have "Announce incoming calls" checked. However, the call announcement comes out of the phone rather than my headset which is quite dissapointing. Any way to force it to announce through my headphones?

Do you mean in Settings\VoiceCommand, uncheck where it says "Enable". because that is already unchecked. I'm guessing it is always running because there is a shortcut in my Windows\Startup folder. Can I safely delete that shortcut?

Unchecked that box then Soft Reset. Just did it with my i760 and the process didn't come up in Task Manager.

Thumbs down Voice Command 1.6 doesnt announce called ID over BT

luca, failure to announce caller ID over BT was a problem with VC 1.6 in WM6, and apparently wasnt fixed for WM6.1. For more info, see:
