I concur .. I use it all the time when I switch to a new phone, particularly to backup the things that aren't synced through active sync...

I signed up for Microsoft's My Phone Beta service and it works great! I did a hard reset and had all of my contacts, text messages, documents, and calendar restored from the website.

    The website is :

    myphone.microsoft.com

All you need is a Windows Live account and then submit a request to join ... it took a few days before I received the link. From what I've read it is going to be a free service once it is out of beta.

I use google sync. I put all my contacts in gmail before syncing. Now I never have to worry about it again.
