    Hiding the taskbar

Is it possible to never have the taskbar show up unless I press the hardware button for the start menu? Thanks

I've done it programaticaly for individual apps I've coded, but I've not seen a utility off the top of my head that does it. I had this old reg hack in my files I'm not sure if it works with the newer OS's.
    System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\AutoHide]
    Value Name: (Default)
    Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)
    Value Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)

Here's a link to the site from my old favs.. amazingly its still live
Automatically Hide the Taskbar at Registry Guide for Windows

I'm playing with SPB mobile shell right so I thinks its preventing my from tweaking such things..

I just created that based on your instructions, soft reset, but no dice.

Yeah... didn't work for me either but it was worth a shot... This dates back to my original WinMo days when they called it "CE"...so I didn't know it would work.
