    stupid NE2 help please

Is the NE2 (I'm not quibbling yet about $50 vs. $100 here) intended to be IN ADDITION to the 2 year contract price, or is it merely intended to (generally) bring a new phone for an existing customer in line with the new customer 2 year contract price.

I'm getting ready for the Omnia II

NE2 is a Discount off the 2 year contract price.
So if price is $300.00 then the NE2 is $50.00, you pay $250.00

    Question NE2 $50 vs $100

Well, while we are at it . . . I was told that I am not eligible for the $100 NE2 since my plan fell below the $79.99 minimum to get that $100 instead of the $50 NE2. I pay much more than that but evidently data and texting, etc. do not count as a "plan" for purposes of the NE2 eligiblility between $50 and $100. It does appear that quite a few people in here have had success getting the $100, though, and I am curious as to the best way to approach VZW about that given that my plan is not curently above the $79.99 minimum?

I guess I could go to a higher level plan for a day or two - place the order - and then go back down? Would that work? Any other ideas?
