Can an app start hidden or minimized?

Is there any way to have an app start hidden or minimized? Perhaps adding parameters to a shortcut or a standalone app? Thanks

I installed a task manager (claunch) and it allows you to do that. When you tap the icon, it displays a list of all apps that have not been closed. If you tap the "X" box next to the application, the application will close, but if you tap the actual name of the application, it wall take you immediately to that application right where you left off. Works very nicely. Also allows you to display icons for selected apps on your today screen (super nice configuration options) so you dont need to used the start menu or the standard program launcher. Now that I installed this freeware app, I would never be without it. No problems with it at all on my 760.
