Do 8Gig micro SDHC cards work?

    All,
I have good luck with a 4Gig sdhc card. Techs tell me the i760 is only "rated" for a 2Gig... uhhhh yeah.

So, anyone successful with an 8Gig teeny card? I need more music storage. I would get a "Class 6" as they have faster data transfer. Or is this still too slow? I have some programs running off my current card.

    Thanks, in advance.

Search. Yes 8 GBs work, you want to get a class 6 SDHC. Also you should have WM 6.1.

    Quick search was inconclusive.

Ditto what Fannatick said. I have 1200+ songs, 5 full-length movies (compressed), and programs/data on my 8gig. As I understand it, a 16gig should work, too.

Do you know if the memory card has to say class 6?

Ohh yea forgot that part 6.1 and I'm not sure which SDHC class it is..

It has a circle or c and a number 2 inside of it, if thats any indicator of what class it is..

It is expected that the SDXC(upto 2TB data) format will eventually be carried over to the MicroSD cards, but a timeframe or announcement has not been made.

I'm using a 16Gb MicroSD in mine(WinMo 6.1 Pro), never had to do any hacks or anything it always picks it up right away with every hard reset I do theres the storage card ready to be used. So no problems here at all, plus I think 16Gb MicroSD's have gotten pretty cheap now.

I'll try to remember to come back at the end of the week and report my success on the 32Gb MicroSD I ordered saturday... I lucked out in eBay and got one for 50 bucks.

LoL! Here's to good luck and crossing my fingers to hoping it works.

Word of caution with these phones as mine just decided to not "see" anything on my sandisk 4g card. Storage still says its there and 8 ca still put pics on the card but everything stored before yesterday is gone. Flakey system.
