HELP!!! How to un-brick my Samsung SCH-i760?

Does ANYBODY know how to un-brick a Samsung SCH-i760?

I recently tried to update my phone to Windows Mobile 6.1 on a Windows Vista computer and it failed. It was showing a failed message and it would not go away! I tried every type of reset, hard, soft, emergency reset, and others. Still nothing. I read every page of the update problems thread and nothing worked.
I'm afraid my phone is officially bricked! I love this phone and I just got it, and I know Verizon would never give me a replacement, I got it off eBay...
And I can't afford to buy another one!!!
Please, somebody help me! How can I fix my phone so it's not "bricked"?

If you tried hard resetting and pulling the battery, I'm not sure if there is anything left.

Maybe try starting the 6.1 install over again on another computer running Windows XP.

I have no idea, but do let us know more information.

In what state is the phone in now?
When you turn it on what happens? Anything?
Does you computer "see" it when plugged in?
    etc.

Well, when I connect my phone to the computer, it doesn't see it.
And when I turn my phone on, it never goes past the mits screen, and it always has notices that come up at the bottom of the phone. Depending on what reset I do or how I turn it on decides what message it shows, from "clearing data" to "pass clearing data". And once the message comes up, it freezes and does nothing else.

Last weekend my phone did the same exact thing. It won't get past the verizon screen when starting up. Doesn't matter if I hard reset, soft reset, or remove the battery. Verizon won't replace the phone as it is an ebay phone. They told me they have them in the warehouse but because it's 5 years old, they can't let me purchase a new one off them for $50. I'm stuck. Anything new on the topic?

I don't think so. It's pretty much bricked.

Wow, so VZW will sell you an i760 for $50?
Why am I paying for this insurance again?

A bricked device is a horrible thing. I feel for you both, but $50 ain't bad as long as you can still get a data block.

Cause with insurance they will cover accidental damage as well. Vzw won't cover it if you drop it in the Loo!
