Is there a way to disable data but still get SMS/MMS?

I've had my i760 without a data plan (but I have unlimited SMS/MMS) for 18 months now. I finally got WiFi working at my office, there were no IPSec clients that seemed to work with our Cisco Concentrators, but they recently started supporting 802.1X and now I have SecureW2 software which let's me connect.

Since data (other than MMS) costs me money by the Kb, is there any way I can configure my phone to ONLY use WiFi for Internet or TCP/IP based traffic, yet not loose the ability to receive and send MMS? If not, is there a way that I can disable data services altogether?

BTW, I'd like to be able to have both WiFi and the Phone on so that I can access the Internet (via WiFi) and make/receive calls/text messages/pic messages (cellular)...

    Thanks!
