    My Samsung i760 Won't Program...

Received the phone today, but I have been unable to program
over *228. Called #611, but they weren't able to help. The phone
is so new and it seemed that they were unfamilar with what to
do. Tried one thing and offered to send out a new phone. I thought
I would try here to see if any one else had problems and was able
    to fix it.

    Thanks

I just called *611 from the 760 and ran through the options. It will ask you if you want to enable the phone based on your order number. After select yes, then you have to call *228 option 1.

The phone has to be activated BEFORE you dial *228. Are you sure it has been activated? Are you able to send/receive phone alls?

Another thing that happens commonly is that you have the other phone on and its locking up the system (I'm assuming you are doing an ESN change from your old phone to the i760) ... Make sure the old phone is powered down and the ESN is free to be associated to the new phone.

you need to call 18778074646 first to agree to the contract/terms
    then call *228
fyi you need to have your order number and location code from the receipt for the 877 number

First, look in the box, there is a piece of paper in it, with yellow borders that says:

STOP! READ THIS FIRST: HOW TO ACTIVATE YOUR PHONE

Follow those steps, namely calling the toll free activation number: 877-807-4646 and you will need the rest of your paper work (10 digit mobile number, 5 digit billing zip code, 12 digit Order Number, 7 digit location code).

Or you need that same information and go to:

    http://www.verizonwireless.com/renew

Then AFTER doing that, you need to dial: *228 option 1, or *22899 from the phone...
