How much can I do with 10MB data allowance?
I was just wondering if 10 MB is live-able for the occassional email/ google map when I am not near wifi or if it is still not really enough.
I got my hopes up, I originally thought there was a 20mb option.
Thanks,
Craig

Just watch it very close. Last time I checked it was about $5.12/MB for the Pay as you Go, which happens after 10 MB of transfer.
You will just need to continually watch it and make sure you aren't going over on the data transfer. 10 MB in my opinion isn't much...Last edited by mrailing; 11-08-2007 at 04:15 PM.

I used 72MB last billing cycle on my Moto Q, and I didn't do anything except email and a small amount of web surfing.
10MB will go very fast - you need to monitor it very carefully or you will get burned.

email and occasional surfing with light google map use. 84MB last month. I'm sure they wondered what happened, as my slingbox went belly up. My normal usage is about 2.5 GB.

If you're mainly using WiFi, you might get by if you only hit mobile friendly sites and don't download or send attachments in email. I don't know if Google Maps dynamically downloads as you scroll like Live does, but if it does, that'll eat up 10 meg fast.

Google does, indeed, download on the fly for directions.
