Problems with my first spb backup

    Hi there.

On the I730, I had used SPB backup successfully many times. I just performed my first backup on the 760, and got the following messages after the backup. It did record a full backup, but I have no idea what the problems mean that are listed below.

The storage card holds the program, and needless to say- the backup.

Any help you can lend would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Contact SPB software.

They have a newer software build for SPB Backup that should correct this. I'm running SPB Backup V 1.6.2, Build 2897 with no problems. Before I updated the software, I had some of the same errors.

    vette50,

How did you get Build 2897? The current CAB download is 2852.

    Thanks.

Spb Support will send it to you.

Send an email to Spb customer support. Tell them you have an i760 and ask them to send you the new build. They will be happy to send it to you. In the meantime, you can exclude the problem files from your backup. The only thing you lose on a restore is your speed dials.

The issues with version 1.6.2 of Spb Backup are discussed in more detail here: Best Backup Software for i760. That thread even includes a link where I first reported the problem to Spb. Let's continue the discussion (if necessary) in that thread.
