    Calendar Reminders not firing

    All of my calendar appointments come from the wireless sync, they show up on my calendar fine. But the reminders never show up. What options are there for reminders other than under Menu -> Tools -> Options -> Appointment Tab? I have "Set reminders for new items" checked, 30 minutes, and one of the icons selected. Am I completely missing some menu?

    Do you have notifications turned off?

    Start->Settings->Sounds & Notifications->Sounds

    Do you have the check boxes checked?

    Start->Settings->Sounds & Notifications->Notifications->Event->Reminders

    Do you have those boxes checked?

    "Events" & "Programs" are checked

    Start->Settings->Sounds & Notifications->Notifications->Event->Reminders
    "Play sound" is checked and the Dialog box is set to "Notify"
    "Repeat" is checked
    "Display message on screen" is checked

    Still have no reminders showing up

    Hrmm I guess this is a VZWSync thing. For all the appointments that are created from being pushed to my phone via Wireless Sync the "Reminder" option of the appointment is set to "None." Anyone know how to change that default selection?

    I had a similar problem after installing touch commander ... I had to hard reset and rebuild my phone twice to get them back (fortunately I'm getting good at it) .. I'm sure there are other programs that can cause similar issues ... backup ... tried the hardreset ... if it doesn't fix the issue ... trade phone with vz ...

    I'm running Touch Commander with Wireless Sync and receive all reminders. I would say its something in the WS or notifications settings. Are you running phonealarm or spb phonesuite? May be some interference there.

    I reloaded my phone with everything that was there except touch commander and the problem went away ... that's why I assumed it was touch commander

    I don't have any kind of alarm or notification program installed.
    my programs:
    opera Mini
    Wirelss Sync Client
    TCPMP
    Resco Explorer
    TomTom
    OpenVPN
    SameTime
    vxUtil
    Live Search
    GetIt FTP
    IMPlus
    HTC SDHC plugin/fix

    So others that use WirelessSync don't have this problem?
    Is there a registry key that sets that enabled by default or anything?

    Hi,

    Download pmClean, a freeware tool that cleans out the notification database. A bug in all versions of Windows Mobile causes this issue.

    Download from: pocketMax Software - Freeware (in righthand column)

    cheers

    Thanks pocketMax,
    I ran pmClean, then refreshed my calendar from wireless Sync. Still no go. All entries show up with reminder set to "NONE"

    I did have 65 notifications and I had no idea what they were. After clearing then doing a calendar refresh I have 15.

    Anything else Im missing?

    I just wanted to chime in and say that I had this same issue but it was after setting up an Outlook Exchange ActiveSync account on my 760.
    After installing and running the PmClean software, then resetting the phone, the issue was resolved.
    Thank You PocketMax,
