    Motorcycle Helmet Bluetooth

I ran a search for this and came up with one thread where mrailing mentioned he was using the Blue Ant rig in his motorcycle helmet. I would like to listen to MP3 through the bluetooth, and the Blue Ant does not appear to be stereo. I was wondering if mrailing could confirm whether it is stereo or not. Is there anybody else out there with a suggestion for a quality, cheap, and simple way to connect to the i760 so I can take phone calls and listen to music whith the helmet on?
    Thanks

Wow! That was nice “Brick”, helpful too. Can you tell me how you feel about hardwired headsets? They’ve been around a long time, so I’m sure you’ve had plenty of time to form an opinion about people who use those also.

Seriously, get an Autocom unit and a garmin zumo 550 gps.

You want wired for the stereo/mic, but the 550 can do bluetooth to your phone in the tankbag and the autocom can be wired or bluetooth to the 550. I wired for stereo XM/mp3 etc.

I've had this setup for 15,000 miles and it's been wonderful. Had the autocom already for another 20,000 miles before that.

edit: pic of the setup on the bike as I was wiring:

Can you tell me why I will want wired for the stereo/mic? I was under the impression the Bluetooth 2.0 was good to go for HiFi.

    Thanks for the help

You are on a motorcycle for crying out loud. Cant you wait till you get to where you are going to listen to music and return phone calls?

I guess I was shocked to read that some of you are actually riding like that and Stupid was the first thing out of my mouth. AFter a few hours, I still cant think of a better way to describe it.

Hmmmm ... I guess when you drive your car you don't listen to music either or talk on the phone????? What's the big deal ... I've been riding for 38 years ... mostly touring bikes to the tune of over 16k a year ... and yea ... I listen to music, audio books, cb, all while I ride ... seems Ralph Nadar had an attitude like yours about bikes ... all he wanted was for people who ride to wear yellow full leathers and have tats to show they rode ... guess you'd really freak if I told you I went to Sturgis this year ... did almost 6k in 12 days pulling a camp trailer behind the bike ... never wore a helmet ... never even wore long pants ... shorts all the way ... and yes ... had the stereo cranked up the whole time ... now that's living ...

Current: 2007 HD Ultra, 103 Kit, 255 cams ... sweeeeeeet ride
