Thumbs down MicroSD sync. vs. "Windows Mobile Device Center"

I recently tried to copy a video [mpeg4] file to my Samsung i760 [on MicroSD] via "Windows Mobile Device Center". The 200MB file took about 29 minutes. Curiously, I copied the file directly to MicroSD by sticking it into the laptop's USB port via the reader... and guess what? The same file took only 2 minutes to copy.

This brings me to asking what exactly/additionall does WMDC do during sync which slows it down more than a dozen fold. Just for comparison, I used to sync such size [200MB] file from iTunes to iPod in less than ONE minute.

    Any thoughts...?

Don't blame WMDC, blame the USB throughput. I've never gotten close to USB 2.0 speeds from any phone, and never expect to. So for large file transfers, throw the card in a USB 2.0 reader and go to town.
