I saw this posted off of Engadget the other day: Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard in 100 pictures

Not sure when it's coming out for sure but the i760 is WM6 Professional which is different than WM6 Standard. Do point releases for WM6 Prof & Stand come out at the same time?

It's Windows Mobile (not MS Mobile Office) 6.1. I saw this on Engadget, as well, but it was running on the WM Standard platform (Moto Q9h). I haven't heard if it will be released on the WM Pro platform. Even if it is, there is no guarantee that Sammy will offer it to VZW or that VZW will offer it to us.

The would if the upgrade is the same for both, otherwise they come out as needed.
I wonder if it will install with that update utility?

Anyone know what the major differences are between the Standard and Professional versions??

Good point - I completely forgot about the update feature in WM6. The coolest feature (for me) was the zoom in PIE. I'd love to see that pushed out via update.

    download center SAMSUNG

Updated 7-15-2008 . Thats the good news.

The bad news is that I discovered this by mistake during a tech support call with Verizon, and the rech support rep indicated that this release has not yet been certified by Verizon so download at your own risk

Yes, and the linke posted in the upgrade pdf file has a typo error (ww.samsung instead of www.samsung)

It does appear to point to the instruction link everyone has been using ... the one with no active hyperlinks.

I'll be patient and wait (not much difference between 6.0 and 6.1)

This thread is now moot and duplicates information in the other WM 6.1 threads so I'm closing it.
