    flash as flashlight

has anyone come up with a way to keep the flash on (instead of only the instant the picture is taken)?

this was a huge feature for me on my old phone.

I'm sure somewhere someone has figured out a way to do this.

It'd be easier (and probably easier on the battery) to create a blank pocket word document, make a shortcut to it, and then launch it with the backlight at a reasonable level. No special software required, you probably already know what the battery drain for the backlight is like.

the flash is an led. I'd imagine that it uses far less battery than the backlight.
I could be wrong but seems to me that if you could use the flash for a flashlight it'd be more efficient. but so far I have not read any threads stating that it was possible.

i know it hasn't been cracked yet but there have been a lot of requests

it just seems to me that it should be common sense to double the flash as a flashlight... but i guess its not that big of a deal
