    FileSharing thru home wifi?

Seeked, but did not find ...

Accessing my home wifi router (WRT54G) was easy for net access,
but I can't view shared folders via FileExplorer? I found several connection
options that can provide login/pswd/domain info, but always fail.

Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks

Have you tried the Menu -> Open Path -> New Path... option with an IP address or hostname in File Explorer? I think you can give it a URL for the server on your LAN...

    ie
    \\192.168.1.100
    or \\hostname

I don't know if there's a way to browse for sharing systems on the network etc without knowing the ip or hostname of the share already.
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

Yes, I know the share names/IP - I do it all the time from my laptop.
I need a 'Network Places' equivalent - frustrating, as I have music on
my desktop that I'd like to access. Work files, too

Resco explorer works fine. Shows you a little my network places and all the computers in it. very cute.
