    What's your verizon plan/feature discount?

I was just curious of what some of your discounts are...

    For Gov Employee, I get...
    Plan Discount 15%
    Feature Discount 12%

I wondering if someone has a higher feature discount than 12%? anyone?

I get 15% access and 20% data feature, work for a government agency. I think a rep told me the discount level depends on how much business we do with Verizon.

what sort of proof do they require to apply the discounts? I assume they don't simply take your word for it that you work for company X.

You can check your eligibility with your company email address here.

For some reason, it's not working in Fireforx for me. Try IE.

Note, the system is not 100% accurate. Sometimes your company will have a discount even though your company email doesn't register in their system, or the amount of the discount will be different.

Case in point, my email ends with .gov so the system automatically said I got the standard 15% federal government employee discount, but in reality, the part of the government I work at gets a larger discount.

Once you have determined your eligibility go here. Again, if it's not working in Fireforx, use IE. Fill out the form, print it, attach a copy of your paystub/work ID badge to the form, and fax the form to 1-800-711-7788.

I used my paystub and used a black marker to cover up information I didn't want to share, e.g., salary, social security, 401k, etc. Just make sure it has your name and the name of your employer.

    I get 19% Access, 20% Feature.

Which features are eligible for the discount? I have a $5.00 Unlimited IN + 50 TXT plan and it's not discounted on my bill.

It applys to the voice plan greater than 35.99 (or is it 39.99, can't remember).

If applicable, you will also get a discount on data. The amount is usually different than the one you got for voice if it is an add on data plan and not a data plus voice bundle plan. If you got a bundle plan, the discount is based off the voice discount.

You also get up to 25 percent off accessories and free 2 day shipping.

It does not apply to secondary lines on a family plan nor any other added features e.g., text, mms, insurance, etc.

So the only "feature" that I can get 20% off on is a data plan? Why not just call it a Data Discount then...?

When I was getting a discount for working at Staples, they required me to fax a pay stub to them.
