    $50 Price Increase

Anyone else notice this. I'm kinda bummed since I've been waiting for my NE2 to be up.

When it first came out it was 399. They raised it to 449 around about the same time they released the xv6800 for 499. I guess they didn't want people thinking "why would I pay $100 more for the xv6800 over the i760" BTW I got mine for $50 after NE2, ADD, Online Discount and $50 MIR. I just bought one in the store yesterday for my wife for $200 after $50 MIR. You can get it down to about $150ish now by purchasing online. (with all discounts maxed)

I haven't been in since purchasing but base price was $399, -$100 for ne2, -$100 for data sign up, -$50 mi rebate, -$75 mailing extra rebate. $75 total purchase price.

LCHBinPa, what's the "75 mailing extra rebate"?

Everything else sounds the same. $399 - $100 - $100 = $199+Tax out the door, with $50 coming back in the mail.

If I'm leaving a $75 rebate on the table, I'd like to find out now. I already sent in my box-top.

    There is no $75.00 rebate.

There is no 75 dollar rebate and plus it isn't 399 anymore.

With 2 year contract it is 449.99 - 100 online discount - 50 dollar mail in rebate.

I ordered the SCH-i760 yesterday through Verizon customer service.

My NE2 does not qualify till January but the rep changed the date and let me apply it now. They also credited me the online discount and even credited me the $50 mail in rebate so I wouldn't have to do it.

    Thus I got the

NE2 a month early (only qualified for $50 because I had a cheap plan)
    -$100 online discount
    -$50 mail in-rebate automatically credit.

    Total for phone $250

I don't know about a $75, but I had an extra $30 rebate via a Verizon flyer in the mail. I was one of the lucky ones who purchased the phone when it was first officially released online, so my total price was $24.99 (400 -100 ADD -100 online -100 NE2 -50 MIR +4.99 tax -30 rebate).

The flyer was for $30 off a new phone if I renewed for 2 years. A quick call to Verizon and the money was credited to my account; no rebate code necessary.

So if I received an extra $30 off, someone else in a different region could have received a $75 off flyer.

Started at $399. I had an extra $50 flyer that I used.
Also just got word that my $50 mail in rebate has been approved. Plus had $50 NE2 and $100 ADD. So I ended up at $149 and am absolutely loving this phone! Battery life is excellent and No hard resets so far. It has frozen up a couple of times but pushing in the red button on the keyboard forces a soft reset and everything is fine!

I hate 2yr contracts. I would rather pay the extra money any day and have the option of upgrading after 8 months. If i can't afford the one year, then I don't need the phone. But that's just me...
